Secret Adriatic came to us with a clear goal. Their old platform had solid bones. However, the interface had grown messy. Styles clashed. Elements sat in the wrong place. The codebase needed serious work. So, they needed a partner to fix it. Specifically, they wanted a cleaner look, a better booking flow, and new features — without breaking what worked.
Revamping the Style
First, we brought the interface in line with the brand. We swapped generic colours for tones drawn straight from their logo. Next, we tightened the sidebar booking experience. We also restructured how information appeared on boat listing and detail pages — everything has to be done in existing code. Furthermore, we designed new homepage sections. These included a featured boats block, a boat brands directory, a sailing routes showcase, and a sitewide inquiry banner above the footer.
We then added several upgrades. First, we built an interactive map filter for boat listings. Now, users can search by location. We also added full scroll support to the contents panel. In addition, it works well on mobile too. Furthermore, we swapped load more buttons for proper pagination. We also added a script to handle long text neatly. Moreover, we rebuilt the how-to-book flow as a popup. This way, the search bar stayed visible at all times. Finally, we made boat listings embeddable in blog posts to boost conversions.
On the code side, we audited five core layouts. These were the index, blog, boat list, boat detail, and itinerary pages. We also fixed the navigation code. Furthermore, we improved mobile and tablet layouts. We updated the footer too. In total, we rebuilt 9 pages and sent them to Secret Adriatic’s IT team.
The New Style Impact
Overall, the platform now feels faster and easier to use. It is also consistent enough to support future upgrades. Above all, it gives Secret Adriatic a strong base to keep growing from.
A great website doesn’t just look good — it loads fast, ranks well, and stays out of your way. When all of that comes together, you stop worrying about your tech and start focusing on what actually grows your business. This project demonstrates that even a heavily compromised site can be turned into a performing platform with the right strategy and execution.
