They offer personalised sailing holidays worldwide. With over 30 years of hands-on experience, they connect sailors with more than 15,000 quality-vetted yachts across 200+ marinas. Before and After Case

Brand Problems
- Broken visual digital presence
- No unified visual system
- Poor navigation and booking path
- Performance issues
- Fragmented user experience
Our Solutions
- Full design rebuild
- Cohesive brand system
- Wide-layout architecture
- Performance optimisation
- Unified account interface
Dagen Yachtcharter’s IT agency came to us needing a complete website rebuild. Specifically, a logo designer with no web design experience had built the existing site. As a result, the design was broken and dysfunctional. Not only did it fail to represent a company of their standing, but it also undermined the user’s path to booking.
Throughout the entire process, we worked in close collaboration with the client. From the start, Dagen Yachtcharter came with a clear vision — a wide, expansive layout that would maximise content exposure. At the same time, it had to preserve structural integrity, ease of navigation, and a clear booking journey.
Building the Website
Our approach began with three foundational page designs: the homepage, the boat listing page, and the boat detail page. From there, we systematically expanded the full site architecture. In particular, the boat detail page required several review cycles to get the content organisation right. We had to balance the client’s widget requirements against page performance and usability. During this process, we identified and removed redundant functionalities that slowed load times.
Beyond the public-facing interface, we also redesigned the user account area. As a result, the entire system — from first visit to post-booking — feels cohesive and intentional. Furthermore, we refined logo elements and we applied the brand’s colour palette consistently across all pages. Together, these decisions turned the website into a single, unified visual system.
The New Website Impact
Overall, we delivered 42 static pages built in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. After completion, we handed everything to Dagen’s IT agency for implementation. As a result, the client now has a fully resolved, performance-conscious website. Not only does it reflect the quality and professionalism Dagen Yachtcharter has embodied since 1993, but it also gives their users a clear, confident path to booking.
A great website doesn’t just look good — it loads fast, ranks well, and stays out of your way. When all of that comes together, you stop worrying about your tech and start focusing on what actually grows your business. This project demonstrates that even a heavily compromised site can be turned into a performing platform with the right strategy and execution.
