Dagen Yachtcharter is an independent, family-run charter company founded in 1993.

Over 30 years, they’ve connected sailors with more than 15,000 quality-vetted yachts across 200+ marinas, reaching from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean and the Seychelles. The existing site had been built by unskilled designer. It showed. The design was broken in ways that undermined the entire brand identity, and it didn’t represent a company with 30 years of history behind it.

Starting From Scratch

Dagen came to the table with a clear vision of their own: a wide, expansive layout that would let content breathe and stand out. That vision had a condition attached. Structural integrity, easy navigation, and a clean booking journey all had to survive the redesign intact.

We started with three pages – homepage, boat listing, and boat detail – before expanding into the full site architecture. The boat detail page took the most work. Several review cycles went into getting the content organization right, weighing Dagen’s widget requirements against actual page performance and usability.

The user account area got the same treatment as the public-facing pages. Logo elements were refined, and the brand’s color palette was applied consistently, page by page, until the site read as one system instead of several disconnected parts.

What We Delivered

  • 42 static pages, built in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • A wide-layout design system, applied consistently across the site.
  • A rebuilt user account area, aligned with the rest of the platform.
  • Performance fixes, removing functionality that was slowing the site down.

A quality website doesn’t just look good – it loads fast, ranks well, and stays out of your way. When all of that comes together, you stop worrying about your tech and start focusing on what actually grows your business. This project demonstrates that even a heavily compromised site can be turned into a performing platform with the right strategy and execution.
