Prima Sailing is a Slovenian charter agency founded in 2013 under parent company Vemsa d.o.o., built on decades of personal passion for the sea dating back to 1997. Operating from Slovenska Bistrica, the agency offers an extensive fleet of sailboats, yachts, and catamarans across the Adriatic and beyond, connecting nautical enthusiasts with carefully vetted charter providers along the Slovenian and Croatian coast.
Brand Problems
- Poor site performance
- Low trust signals
- Inconsistent visual identity
- Weak booking journey
- Generic digital presence
Our Solutions
- Performance overhaul
- Trust-driven design
- Cohesive brand system
- Streamlined booking flow
- Water-inspired motion identity
Prima Sailing approached their IT agency with a need for a fully custom website — one that would replace their old website and reflect the quality and professionalism of their charter offering. Due to the scope and complexity of the project, we were brought in as the specialist UX/UI design and development partner to replace the existing site with a brand-oriented digital experience.
Approach
Our approach centered on clarity, brand cohesion, and intuitive user flow. The primary objective was to create a direct, frictionless path from landing to boat discovery to booking, while simultaneously crafting a visual identity strong enough to distinguish Prima Sailing in a crowded yacht charter market. Enhanced boat listing and detail pages were scoped as key functional priorities alongside the broader redesign.
To bring the interface to life, we developed a motion design language rooted in the behavior of water — fluid, natural animations applied to interactive elements to make every interaction feel satisfying and on-brand. Popups and modals were deliberately designed outside of convention to create memorable moments that reinforce recall.
Following a thorough client review of all 23 designed pages, we moved into development, delivering 21 static pages built in HTML, CSS, and JS. Final files were handed over to their IT agency, along with structured guidance on maintaining and updating the site using our proprietary Helix framework.
The Result
The result was a professional, visually distinctive website that resolved all legacy performance and trust issues, provided a seamless path to bookings, and gave Prima Sailing a digital presence as compelling as the destinations they offer.
A great website doesn’t just look good — it loads fast, ranks well, and stays out of your way. When all of that comes together, you stop worrying about your tech and start focusing on what actually grows your business. This project demonstrates that even a heavily compromised site can be turned into a performing platform with the right strategy and execution.
