Conviva Maris is a Croatian yacht charter company offering private sailing along the Adriatic coast came to us with a website that had accumulated years of visual and technical issues. Legacy bugs, a dated visual design, and a fragile WordPress backend were actively holding back their business. The client needed a stable, modern platform — one they could manage confidently and independently.
Our Tasks
We handled the complete development cycle, from initial design through to deployment. Based on the client’s brief we started with brand and website audit — this helped our client to optimise their budget and plan phases of execution — we produced few core interface templates — index, product listing, price listing, contact, and single product pages — and built a robust frontend with multiple search functionalities. On the backend, we developed custom WordPress modules that give the client an intuitive integrated (no third-party plugins) system for managing charter content without technical risk.
Beyond the build itself, we completed a full server migration, reinstated broken contact forms, implemented cookie consent management in proper sync with Google tools by GDPR, and restored safe WordPress update functionality — a complex fix that had long been a source of instability for the client.
Given the project’s scope, the rollout is phased. Legacy pages are being systematically replaced with clean, modern implementations per the client’s request, eliminating reliance on the bloated code and third-party plugin stack that had contributed to years of performance and stability issues. Today the site is fully stable and operational.
The Results
The impact was measurable almost immediately. Pages that search engines previously refused to index are now ranking across multiple platforms — a direct result of cleaner architecture and targeted content optimisation. Both mobile and desktop experiences were refined for the target audience, and the client now has a rock-solid foundation they can maintain without fear of breaking anything.
The site has gone from a liability to a business asset.
A great website doesn’t just look good — it loads fast, ranks well, and stays out of your way. When all of that comes together, you stop worrying about your tech and start focusing on what actually grows your business. This project demonstrates that even a heavily compromised site can be turned into a performing platform with the right strategy and execution.
