Hello, I'm Zeljko Simic, the founder of Simple design studio. With over 15 years of experience, I've built my expertise around one core belief: design should deliver results, not just a trendy look. Design isn't my personal art project - it's a tool for clear communication and business growth.
In my view, the best design gets users where they need to go, efficiently and without distraction. "Simple" isn't "easy". Actually, achieving true simplicity is demanding. It takes discipline and experience to strip away the noise and deliver something that works, reliably and elegantly.
My Path to Practical Design Solutions
My background covers pretty much the entire design pipeline. I kicked things off in the trenches as a desktop publishing operator. From there, I moved into 3D work, then spent five years teaching computer graphics. I didn't just teach, actually - I wrote a curriculum that got approved by the Ministry of Education, so I know how to break down complex concepts and get results.
I've handled everything from in-house graphic/web design and web development to product photography. Did work on freelance projects too, and earned a reputation as one of the top 10% of designers on the market. That recognition wasn't just luck - it came from delivering real value and understanding what clients actually need.
For me, this isn't just theory. I know exactly how projects move from first idea to final launch. I've worked through the practical realities: initial sketches, coding, business demands, deadlines. I focus on building products that work in the real world, not just on paper.
By studying Business Informatics I wanted to round out my skills and really understand the full process behind digital product creation - how business, tech, and design all connect. It's helped me approach projects strategically, seeing the bigger picture while still getting the details right.
